REGIONAL EMPOWERMENT DIRECTOR (WEST) DALLAS AREA

 

Nakeshia Gentry was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. Nakeshia recently relocated to Dallas, TX from Little Rock to pursue other endeavors.   Nakeshia earned her Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Pulaski Technical College in 2010, her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in December of 2012. Nakeshia recently completed her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement from Grand Canyon University.  Currently Nakeshia works as a Mortgage Account Collections Manager.

 

Nakeshia was a teen mother and stereotyped as a “statistic”.   Nakeshia has beaten the odds by earning her high school diploma, Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, and Masters degree.  Nakeshia is the mother of two girls; ages 11 and 13. Nakeshia’s children has been her inspiration to continue furthering her education and working with youth.  In her spare time, she likes doing anything productive.  Nakeshia loves to spend time with her children, workout, cook, read, travel, and every once in a while, kick back and watch crime shows on television. 

 

Nakeshia strives to continue to show her children that success does come with challenges; but ambition, discipline, and motivation will help them achieve any goal or dream that they pursue.
