Association History

​

Universal Empowerment Association (UEMPA)was formed in June 2014 by Entrepreneur Dr. Shannon Alexander-Phifer. Universal Empowerment Association is a 501(c)(3) IRS-recognized organization. The Professional Association was created to strengthen ALL individuals globally through the means of EMPOWERMENT.

The mission of the Universal Empowerment Association (UEMPA) is for each member to empower at least two individuals and provide a testimony that shows the positive impact that their empowerment had on the individuals.

 

The vision of the Universal Empowerment Association (UEMPA)is to empower individuals economically, politically, socially, educationally, and spiritually; globally through means of passionate networking and knowledge sharing to create a national empowerment movement.

 

Universal Empowerment Association's local chapter is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The association has chapters launching in Dallas, Texas, and Missouri by June 2023.

 

Universal Empowerment Association plans to add more chapters by August 2023.

Structure of Organization

​

Universal Empowerment Association is a non-profit professional association.  We currently have Adult Female, Adult Male, and Young Adult (males and females ages 18-20) groups within the association.  We plan to expand our programs to youth (ages 11-17) in the near future. Our organization follows the structure of fundraising, volunteering, and a group event. Some of our fundraising, volunteering, and group events will consist of participation from all groups within the association collaboratively.  To become a member of the association you must complete a membership application.  The preferred method to return your application is via email at uempa@universalempassociation.org. You may also submit your application to one of our regional or program directors. In addition to submitting your membership application, you must pay your annual membership dues before you become a member.  The following membership dues apply to the specified groups: 

 

ADULT MALE AND FEMALE MEMBERSHIP DUES (Ages 21 & UP): Currently Waived through October 1, 2023.

 

YOUNG ADULT MALE AND FEMALE MEMBERSHIP DUES (Ages 18 – 20): Currently Waived through October 1, 2023.

Responsibility

 

Members are responsible for acting in the best long-term interests of the association, the mission, and the vision of the association.  Members are also responsible for contributing to the vision of a global empowerment movement.  By doing so each member is responsible for empowering at least two individuals and provides testimony at least twice annually to their assigned group on how their empowerment positively affected the individual(s).

 

General Members Duties

 

Universal Empowerment Association members are responsible for representing the association in a professional and dignified manner at all times.  Each member is expected to carry out the vision of the association and commit to making the association successful.  Each member is expected to be proud of their affiliation with the prestigious association.  In doing so each member will promote, support, and enhance the growth of the association.  In addition to a commitment to empowering individuals other expectations of members include:

 

  • Regularly attends association meetings and important related meetings. 

  • Makes serious commitment to participate actively in fundraising, volunteering, and member-focused events of the association.

  • Stays informed about association matters and provide input and recommendations to strengthen the association.

  • Communicate with association members and build relationships that contribute to consensus within the association. 

  • Is an active participant in the association’s annual empowerment conference and planning efforts.

  • Show dedication to the commitment of the association.
